After theres no more water, simply turn on the sonar in the top left room, this will activate an attack of enemies that will try to break the beacon again, make sure your ship is parked above the beacon a decent distance with a gunner on each ships normal gun excluding railguns so they can defend the beacon and your ship, at the same time, go around the beacon whilst its being attacked and repair any hulls being torn off, once theres no more enemies or you feel they stop coming for the beacon, you can either lead off with all of them dead or lead them away from the beacon with your ships sonar, and drive away. DO NOT leave the beacon UNTIL all the water is pumped out, the reactor can break *while* you leave the beacon and go to finish your mission, the small pump on the bottom left of the oxygen room is very slow even at max setting, but you're gonna have to double check the reactor to see if its damaged bad by water, thats why you gotta check on it.ħ. Once the water starts getting sucked out by the small pump and the reactors power, use *one* of the welding guns to repair all of the hulls from the inside the beacon, waste away and check behind the thick walls and be thorough, crouch if your on floor level and need to see below a floor if theres any damage, so that the water stops flooding in, do this for every room, after, check back on reactor.Ħ. Insert the fuel rod you brought into the reactor, manually turn on the reactors power then click automatic power setting, use a wrench (most likely will be in locker right next to the reactor) to fix the reactor, you may need to double check the reactor in a few seconds still it'l still be covered in water and be damaged as time passes, but the fuel rod will be ok, just come back and use the wrench every few seconds.ĥ. After looting all rooms, get to the reactor/oxygen rooms, go to the bottom left and manually turn on the tiny water pump and set it to out max, this comes first in repairing the beacon.Ĥ. Check every locker, see if theres a wrench, screwdriver inside, maybe take the welding guns, plasma cutters, extract their oxygen tanks and welding fuel to take back (might need a toolbelt for this depending on your characters prefered setup)ģ. Explore inside the beacon, you do not need a gpa incase your ship gets sent somewhere since the Beacon will have its own sonar.Ģ. What are we doing wrong? Theres a few steps and methods to fixing beacons, but they always remain in the same order, you also need to bring one fuel reactor rod to the beacon to power it by bringing it to its reactor.ġ. We'll go to one, turn on the power, restart the sonar and get a notifcation that the station is online, then when we leave we are told that we failed to get the station online, and it is still listed as offline. With nothing else to do, I eventually just opened the outer door and drowned, embarrassed both for trying to kill him and doing such a terrible job at it.Originally posted by ncarr99:My friends and I can't figure out how to successfully turn on beacon stations. He dumped me into the airlock and locked the inner door. After quickly realizing I was injecting meds into him-my first injection only took away a sliver of his health and my second immediately healed it back up-he immediately battered me with his stun stick and wordlessly dragged me away, clubbing me as we went. This was not his first rodeo, though (it was only my second rodeo). I decided to just take a bunch of medical injections from the sickbay and stick as much medicine into my target as I could, hoping he'd have an adverse reaction, or maybe just pass out until I could figure out a better way to murder him. ![]() I searched lockers and compartments looking for any weapons I could use, but couldn't find anything (except a clown mask, which I naturally put on). It was only me and one other player on this particular voyage, and I'd signed on as a medic. Barotrauma has a multiplayer option called Traitor, which when activated will give certain crewmembers a secret task to murder another player during the voyage. Yes, I attempted to inject a crewmate with poison and kill him, but I'm not a griefer! I swear.
